Handspun recycled wild silk yarn, super soft, unusual texture, pure white. Great for dying. SOLD OUT
This is a beautiful and unusual handspun silk yarn which comes in pure white suitable for dying. It has an unusual and soft texture and a beautiful pearly sheen. It feels a bit like a brushed cotton. Quite chunky, perhaps a bit thicker than DK. More of an arran weight.
This silk yarn has been handmade from leftover silk waste in a rural village in India by a women's co-op we work with. It is so rustic and inspirational.
Produced by hand-spinning these silk fibers using a drop spindle.
This is an exclusive handmade silk yarn. Great for knitting or crocheting sweaters, scarves, hats, throws. Put it to good uses in the textile and fiber art world, but it is also great as an original piece of eye candy!
