Eri silk cakes are degummed silk cocoons ready for carding and spinning. Eri cocoon cakes be used for felting, spinning directly into yarn from the cocoons, paper making, fibres arts and crafts. 

Eri silk is an Ahimsa silk where the moth has left the cocoon and unharmed. They are also domesticated silk worms. They live and feed in the forest.
