Braided Ramie fibres. Ramie is a flowering plant in the nettle family.
Ramie is one of the oldest fibres and has been cultivated for over 6000 years. It is used a lot in Japanese textiles. Ramie is known for its ability to hold shape which is why it is used in clothing.
Ramie raw fibres are suitable for, weaving, basket making, floral design, place mats, coasters, garlands, home decor, rugs, mats, natural paper making, wreaths and more.
The braids are approx 3 to 4 mm wide.
Please note these have been braided and measured by hand in India. The lengths of each variant may vary.
