Sari silk yarn in white blended with wild forest silk undyed. Unique ethical yarns.
Handspun sari silk yarn is produced from waste silk fibres left over from sari manufacturing in India. I have had it spun with wild forest silk which is undyed and natural. It is spun using a drop spindle which has also been handmade by women in rural India. This is a chunky yarn.
They spin in their homes. They can afford to send their children to school. They command their price, they work for themselves. This is a sustainable product. Beautifully spun, this artisan yarn is not only adding a beautiful texture to your art it is sustaining and keeping rural communities alive.
Each 100g skein is approx 45 yards.
