Sari silk yarn in a beautiful turquoise Odisha blue is handspun from waste silk from the sari mills in India. This waste makes fabulous yarn. Sari silk yarn is spun using a drop spindle in villages around Northern India by groups of women. Spinning these yarns are their only source of income. We work directly with these artisans developing new colours and yarns form waste materials that would otherwise be destroyed! This is great for us as yarn addicts because it adds a ethical and inspirational spin to our creative endeavours.
The colours of these silk yarns, their nature and textures are peerless. They are soft, luxurious, handpsun and vibrant. They are also ethical, sustainable and recycled. Save waste from landfill!
This is a super yarn for knitting, crochet, weaving, rug making, arts and crafts and more. Ethical, sustainable yarns made by talented artisans!
