Multicoloured Sari Silk Ribbon Yarn – Handmade & Recycled

Our multicoloured sari silk ribbon yarn is crafted from recycled strips of silk fabric left over from sari manufacturing in India. Each skein is hand-torn and sewn end to end using a traditional winder sewing machine, resulting in a one-of-a-kind yarn full of rich, vibrant colours and texture.

Produced by a dedicated women’s cooperative in Northern India, these yarns not only support fair trade and ethical working conditions, but also help preserve ancient crafting traditions. I’ve even worked alongside these talented artisans in their village, helping create the ribbons you're holding.

No two skeins are the same—each is a magical blend of colour and character, making this yarn perfect for weaving, knitting, crochet, fibre art, and more.

• Made from 100% recycled sari silk
• Handmade, fair trade, and eco-friendly
• Every skein is unique in color and pattern

By choosing this yarn, you're supporting sustainability, traditional crafts, and women-led businesses.

Suitable for crochet, knitting, weaving, scrapbooking, journal making, slow fashion, wall art decor, home decor and more. Even great for eco gift wrapping!

Care Instructions: Handwash with mild detergent and lay flat to dry.
