Banana silk yarn is a chunky vegan alternative to silk that may Indian saris are made from to give that silk sheen drape. This banana fibre yarn has been handdyed in beautiful deep navy blue.
All our yarns have been made by hand and spun using a drop spindle by women's co-operatives and small businesses in rural deprived areas of Northern India. This yarn is chunky and slubby adding to its personality. All recycled from sari mills!
Banana yarn is a great yarn to work with for throws, bags, hats, rugs. Knit, crochet, weave with it. It is such a versatile ethical yarn!
Each 100g skein is approximately 25 metres.
There may be slight differences in dye lots as they are made small batch.
AZO free dyes which are eco friendly and non toxic.
Handwash in light detergent, lay flat to dry.
